Electrical Engineering Facilitator

Job Opportunity: Electrical Engineering Facilitator

With a commitment to excellence, EHI delivers theoretical and practical training in various electrical engineering disciplines, including High Voltage Switching, Electrical Fault Analysis, SANS 10142-1, Arc Flash, Transformers, Substations, and more.

 

Position Overview: EHI is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Facilitator to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and informative training sessions, ensuring learners acquire the knowledge and skills required for success in their field.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver training using appropriate methods to ensure learners acquire prescribed knowledge and skills.

  • Utilize effective assessment methods to monitor learners' progress and competence attainment.

  • Conduct various forms of assessments and moderations to maintain quality standards.

  • Provide course reports and assist in compiling learners' Portfolios of Evidence (POEs) when required.

  • Design, develop, and prepare quality training materials, continually refining and improving resources.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of customized training solutions to meet clients' specific needs.

  • Maintain expert-level knowledge in relevant topics through continuous professional development.

  • Instil a health and safety work ethic in learners and ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA).

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Accreditation or registration with EWSeta as Assessor and/or Moderator.

  • Registration with relevant regulatory bodies in the field of expertise.

  • Previous experience as a Facilitator/Assessor.

  • 10-20 years of industrial experience, encompassing all aspects of engineering systems and hazardous location classification, auditing, inspection, and control across major industries.

  • Proficiency in electrical systems, including medium voltage installation, HT switching, arc flash awareness, substation design and maintenance, transformer and switchgear maintenance, earthing systems, and marine electrical and mechanical systems.

 

Advantageous Skills:

  • Experience in online training platforms such as Teams, Zoom, Webex, or Skype.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and other computer applications.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively engage learners.

 

Additional Information:

  • Age range: 40 to 65.

  • Must be physically fit and able to travel throughout South Africa and Africa.

  • CV must include references for verification.
